About this blog

I am Christophe Pellier. Vice-President of the Commission of planetary observations of the French astronomical society, I am as well editorialist of the Communications in Mars Observations review... but I am, above all, a dedicated planetary imager with more than 15 years of practice.

Planetary astronomy and imaging is becoming again a rewarding activity for the observer. Amateurs made important discoveries these recent years, their imaging techniques and tools are improving so fast that new breakthroughs happen every year, from the detection of impacts on Jupiter to the imaging of belts on Uranus and Neptune!

I am writing this blog to cover the whole discipline, to write planetary processing tutorials, to discuss high resolution planetary imaging techniques, and to keep you informed as well about the the events, and the actuality of planets.

Just send me your first name and your e-mail and I will send you my e-book "Get successful planetary images"
